Did you guys think they were good?
Spielman is good in the booth imo.
Meyer had some good observations on Miller. I watched on satellite, and late 3rd qtr I heard Meyer say "That's my quarterback." as the network went to break.

Meyer had a Braxton Miller boner. He kept whining when he didnt get in initially and then when he did get in, he slobbered all over him

Spielman knows the game, but he is brutal to listen to for an entire game

I liked them both--it's nice to hear candid comments on the game without the vanilla cliches and sugarcoated bullshit

I thought Spielman was better with the guy he used to work with regularly a couple years ago. I hope they will improve 'on air' as the season goes on. I agree Meyer was man crushed on Miller, sounded like Jon Gruden.

I thought they were good early in the game (Pausch, or however you spell his name, is a good play-by-play guy too) but as the game went on and there wasn't much to analyze/talk about, things went south. I think they will be a good crew later in the season once they've worked together for a while and gotten into a rhythm with each other.

Wrong again. Speilman was on top of his game. Meyer was fair.LJ;881829 wrote:Spielman is horrid

This was the first time I ever thought Spielman came off as a homer calling an OSU game. He usually doesn't do that.

Spielman got annoying pretty quick. All he said during the 1st quarter was that OSU needed to take a shot. He had too of said that at least 15 times.

You'd be wrong. Spielman is and always has been bad in the booth.holdingout;881952 wrote:Wrong again. Speilman was on top of his game. Meyer was fair.

Meyer was bad, but it doesn't matter as he will be doing this for only a year anyway.

They both have a great knowledge of the game, but their delivery is very weak. I bet Gibby had a chubby watching and listening to the game!

Spielman is awful. Love the guy but I don't know how he has a job.
Thought Meyer was good but he wanted to talk about his own personal experiences too much. Thought the OSU having SEC talent was a back handed comment that I wasn't real big on.

Spielman acts like a caveman up in the booth and it really wears on me. He has this reputation as a tough guy and he loves to milk it. As a result, he says some stupid stuff.
I hope he never gets within 5 feet of the Ohio State head coach's headset. We're in big trouble if he ever gets that job. (Think Mike Singletary)
