Italiano is their stud QB. Canfield went 5-5 last year and return a good core of starters. Dover and Canfield have always been a battle, It will be interesting to see what happens. I say Canfield by 3

For Dover to win they will have to eliminate the penalties and work on protection, way too many hits on Swindy last night although some may not have been legal. They will also need to do better in the red zone you can't let any scoring chance slip away because the posessions will be limited due to Canfields strong run game. Our rush defense has looked strong but I am not sure they have really been tested, they will be this week,Italiano for one is very diffucult to bring down, gang tackle boys.

I think the next 2 weeks are Dovers toughest games,I feel pretty good if we win 1,lose 2 and it may be a 10 week season.

Doesn't Dover play Zanesville this year? Zanesville went 9-1 last year making the play off's. I wouldn't think that would be an automatic win.

This is my feeling exactly! I think Zanesville is next on that list, but I think these two are the big test.

I wouldn't put any win in Dovers pocket. Play the game first. Cambridge, Claymont, Zanesville, New Phila, Tri-valley and Canfield will come to play. I know nothing about Marietta or Norwood.

Actually I am just hoping all the games are competitive. I would like to see Dover and Phila sitting @ 9-0 going into week 10 and then a battle for the title. Lots of football to be played before then. Dover always gets better as the season goes on. Hoping the same for my team.

Fine laugh if you want. I'm just a fan who wants the kids to win and I always look on the bright side. If you don't believe then what do you have. I'm glad to see Claymont doing well too. Hope they keep it going.

What type of defense does Canfield normally play? Did they switch out of their normal defensive lineup last year against our spread? I can't seem to remember. What type of offense is Canton South running this year?

I'm just a fan who wants their team to win to,but I'm a realist.I know the chances of my team going undefeated is pretty slim.

South has typically been a spread offense team. They will do anything with 3, 4 or 5 wide sets. Canfield I believe runs a 4-2-5. Sorta like Mount Union's. So it will intersting to see how they defend Dover.

Been a great game each of the last two years with the home team picking up close wins. I think that trend will continue this year. Canfield 28-24

That means if Swindy gets through the first line he only has to beat one or two guys to pick up 4-5 yards a carry. Once the LB's start creeping up or set back on their heals we can throw short under routes. As long as we don't try to beat them with the long ball every series we should be able to maintain long(er) sustained drives and keep their RB taking snaps under center off that side of the field. If we play a strong smart game I say we walk out with a win, if not it will be a long night. Keep hitting hard defense.....

My hope is for a Dover win,but I have figured Dover as a 9-1 team with this game being the loss,I think the Canfield lines are a little ahead of Dovers inexperianced crew and Italiano is the type runner that will be able to sustain long drives behind the Canfield line. Go Dover make this Fan eat crow.

I heard a rumor tonight that Dover's band is not a swing band any more. Is this true because if it is I can't imagine.

whew it came from a good source too and ex band member who is signing her kid up for the Dover band. She said they were a corp band now. Whoever told her that has no idea what a corp band is. I couldn't imagine Dover doing anything but what they always do. Standing, playing loud and entertaining the crowd. Glad to hear it isn't true.
