Coach Jim Osborne begins his 41st year at the helm of the Blue Devils with 524 varsity wins, all at Gallipolis!
The new Gallia Academy high school opened it's doors this fall complete with it's state-of-the-art basketball facility that seats over 1800 with more room for standing around the walking track.
Scrimmages this fall include (all at GAHS and all on Saturday):
11/14 9 am with Fairland and Alexander
11/21 9 am with Reedsville Eastern
11/28 9 am with Washington CH and Waverly
In addition GAHS will be hosting the Oak Hill girls and boys teams on Tuesday, Nov 24th beginning with the girls at 6 pm in the charity foundation games. Both Oak Hill teams were in the Final Four last spring with the boys team, coached by veteran Norm Persin winning the state championship.
The regular season opener for the Blue Devils will be on Dec 5 when Rock Hill is in.
GAHS is coming off a rare sub .500 season but returns a host of varsity veterans combined with a very successful JV season under coach Tom Moore.
Any huddlers attending any GAHS games this winter who would like to meet only have to go to the scorers table and introduce yourself. I always enjoy putting faces to names and making new friends.
GO BLUE DEVILS!!!
