Being back at school today, it's amazing how many drivers don't understand parking etiquette. And I'm not referring to parking in two spaces or not looking before backing out or whatever -- I'm saying that if I'm in a parking spot, DON'T park next to me in the immediately adjacent spot. Especially with the line between these spots being four inches wide with no other separator. Just sit there and wait for someone else to leave. No one will think you're awkward - they will understand and respect you.

Iy is also impolite to step on someone's roof

Parking in the middle of a space is also nice

Please be sure that the is enough room for your car to fit.

I sincerely hope the guy next to him parked like that on purpose after he did.

"Trying to take up two spaces? We'll just have to see about that!"

I always park at the end of the parking lot, just so I don't have to worry about anyone parking beside me.

I usually just park on the sidewalk outside whatever building I have class in. Usually get like 3 parking tickets a semester but it's worth it.

Brings back memories. Damned campus and city cops seemed like they had nothing better to do than issue parking tickets. We got nailed for obstructing the sidewalk (pick up parked in drive with bumper hanging in the sidewalk). Parking against traffic. I got this once when I was dropping a small piece of furniture of at my girlfriend's (now my wife) room. I went in dropped it off and went straight out and the campus cop was writing me up. I was like come on man I was here about 15 minutes. Tears the ticket slaps it on the windshield and drives off.
