United makes the trip to Reilly Stadium in Week 2 for the battle of neighboring schools, 7:00 kickoff.

Both schools have lost a lot since last year. United got smoked by Malvern in week 1, 56-26. Salem went down 21-7 to LaBrae thanks to not being able to finish some long drives, the 7 was a garbage time TD with 30 seconds left.

Always a good draw, since many Salem parents are United graduates. I'll be in New Orleans, so I have to miss it.

What say you all?

Will go with Salem, 28 - 7. Hopefully they get some of the offensive kinks worked out.

tough NBC schedule and last week you lost to probably the 6th or 7th best team on your schedule...could win games against united, niles, carrollton, canton south and possibly west branch....5-5 is very attainable maybe even 6-4 if you get some quarterback play...margin for error is very small with that kind of schedule though

Labrae will probably one of the toughest schools on their schedule. 6th or 7th? You must have no knowledge of high school football.

Maybe not 7th, but half of the NBC is better than them, and I don't know enough about Niles, but I would assume they are better.

your a funny guy Ohio...if you think Labrae can beat the teams in the NBC then they should cruise to the state title in division 4....I was speaking more to the strength of Salem's remaining schedule and how they will struggle, rather then trying to put down Labrae. I think Labrae will win a lot of football games but they would struggle with Salem's schedule.
I think Labrae would probably beat Niles (they scrimmaged to a 7-7 tie) and I think that is a game that Salem can win as well. Labrae is the 6th best team on Salem's schedule because they wouldn't beat Marlington, West Branch, Louisville, Minerva or Alliance.

WB will be better then you think this year...it will take time for Dota to get things rolling...like i said if Labrae could beat Louisville and Alliance then they should have no problem going 10-0 and if they do then your right

LaBrae will wins some games this year BECAUSE their schedule is light. But LaBrae isn't all that tough this year. Bohren likes his team this year but his Soph. QB has some growing pains to go thru. Salem should end up with a losing schedule this year in the new league, most of whom are much better than LaBrae. Salem beats United.

Salem beat United 24-7. Much better execution tonight from the Quakers. Mike Crittenden had an excellent night and Jake Carner looked more comfortable at QB.

BTW, Labrae dropped 60 on Mineral Ridge tonight. Don't know how down the Ridge may be, but 60 is still a lot of points.

Labrae will be 2-1 vs. Girard, Campbell and Struthers if they stay healthy...write it down big guy

Labrae scored 40 in the first half vs. Mineral Ridge, who is very young and struggling. The JV's scored 3 times in the second half and shut out Ridge in the second half...young kids did a lot better then they did against Salem a week ago when they let Salem go down the field to avoid the shut out

You just compared Mineral Ridge who is prolly going to go 0-10 to 3 teams who will finish over 500 and have all had labrae's number in the last 2 years. I wrote it down for you tho LOL

Labrae and Bill Bohren have had a lot of success against Girard in recent years...look it up. I do think Girard is very good this year but you never know what will happen. I have seen all 3 already and I think they match up very well with Campbell and Struthers if they can stay healthy. I didn't compare anyone in that post either and I readily admit that Mineral Ridge is struggling but there are some other very bad teams in the ITCL that they may beat.
You talk about how they can beat teams from the NBC and then say they couldn't beat a struthers team that just got 50 put on them last week...your talking out both sides of your mouth.

Did you go to that struthers game last week? 24-14 in the 4th quarter then took chances and girard scored on 3 drives less then 30 yards, but your right im wrong.

Labrae's Remaining schedule

W @Cuyahoga Valley Christian - Weak team
W Champion - Lost alot from last season
L Campbell - They will not contain Hughes
L @Struthers - They lost to struthers the last 2 teams and struthers has a much stronger team then the last 2 seasons.
W @Newton Falls - really down
W Jefferson - Good qb big line but thats it
L @Girard - Too complex of an offense for the vikings to handle
W Steubenville CC - Valley teams always roll CC
