Great start for the league. Hopefully some non-conference success will propel an extra team or two into the playoffs for the ECOL this year.

Watched the New Philly replay on WTOV 9, it looked like they were goin to get blown out in the first half and very easily could of by the extremely athletic Park team. Give Philly defense credit for keeping them in the game until their oline started dominating Park's defense who looked like they weren't conditioned as well as Philly.

I saw that Bridgeport still had one of the Smelley brothers on the team, but they must have graduated the other(s)? Still, I was surprised by the final score of that game. I am interested to see how Rosecrans competes in league play.

I was also suprised by the Rosecrans score but unless they got a bunch of transfers I would still put them in last place in the ECOL. Newark Catholic is about the only D6 school I can imagine doing well.

I don't think anyone will overlook Rosecrans in hoops, at least not this winter. They will have to adjust to a much more physical style of play, mainly from Zanesville, Dover, New Phila and Cambrige, but they will definitely be one of the favorites for the hoops crown.

Pretty bold statement. You won't be playing Bridgeport every week in the ECOL>
