Bengals talk here. Unlike all cincy fans I think the bengals will be alright. They have a bright future. I really like Aj Green. He will be on my fantasy team.

I don't know how they will do in the win/loss department but I think the future is bright with green and dalton. As a bengals fan I am so glad that pussy palmer is out. The main concern this year is the linebackers but I think they have the potential to be good.

Pretty dumb on Mike Browns part to not trade Palmer IMO. Couldnt have gotten something to help the team.

They're a mortal lock to lose 13.

They should have traded Palmer.

Yeah, but when has Mike Brown ever done the right thing?

I know some people are high on Dalton but I can't ever see him being the QB that Palmer was

I got Green on my fantasy team. Strictly an upside pick though, he's uber talented but a rookie qb and rookie wr in a shortened offseason dampens my expectations.

We're in big trouble. We'll be lucky to win 3-4 games. A rookie QB and a defense influx doesn't mix. Losing Joseph to the Texans hurt badly

Yeah seen that.. Can't be that good when San Francisco gave up on him after 1 year but we will see. Zimmer wanted him bad out of the draft and safety is definitely a position of need along with 21 other spots!!! Going to be a long year in the Nati...

The Bengals going to keep him at Safety? I'd be curious to see him at LBer.

Mays was always more sizzle than substance. Dude can't cover.

You can still have an impact as a safety even if your pass cover skills aren't that great. My Dolphins have Yeremiah Bell who is awful in coverage but will come up and smack someone in the mouth every play, led our team in tackles last year.

Not a good sign when your safety leads your team in tackles.

Yeah, but Mays has milked a few highlight reel hits while he was at USC into a lot of hype and multiple opportunities in the NFL. He looked very ordinary during his final year at SC. He might be better off playing LB

Our D was young last year but talented and should be top 5 this year, but I get what you're saying.

Agreed, people look at his physique and athleticism and thought he was a lock pro bowler.

Told me everything I need to know about Taylor Mays when Pete Carroll passed on him for Earl Thomas in the 2010 draft.

Why? Earl Thomas is really freaking good.

I know. But the fact that Pete Carroll passed over his own "all-star" safety to draft a different safety was a sign that Taylor Mays might have been a little overhyped.

If they can revive his career like they did reggie nelsons then I am all for it. You know how zimmer likes his usc players.

Taylor Mays can't be any worse than Roy Williams or Chini Ndukwe. Roy was always banged up and couldn't cover a quarter zone and Ndukwe went for so many big hits and whiffed he was the Adam Dunn of NFL safeties. He actually made me long for Kevin Kaesviharn. Chris Crocker was a good player in the secondary but he is a stopgap, not a future. Guess this means Robert Sands' move to LB will be quicker than we thought.

Bengals look pretty good so far. Dalton doesn't look completely terrible tonight. Liked that he was looking for Green

Cam Newton has looked like a great running threat, but he's not very polished as a passer.
