In their quest to not tamper with the starting pitchers routines and maybe have a delay during the early innings they wasted 45 minutes of weather in which they could have been playing.

Setting here in the front row of 219, should have never been delayed but we'll be underway by 2:20

There have been a lot of double plays avoided the last couple days by both teams, and even some not avoided by each, by trying the hit and run play.

Joey trying to hit a HR rather than get one RBI! Brandon getting a non-critical SB - it would have been much more important if Joey was still up and hopefully would have motivated him to try for the single RBI.

McDonald makes mince-meat of Frazier to end the 1st with 2 on.

Leake 2nd to Arroyo on the team in total HRs allowed. Reds have given up the 3rd most in MLB and give them up at a 0.119 per inning rate. Arroyo gives them up at a 0.222 rate while Leake is 0.135. Why did the Reds extend Arroyos contract? They only need the cheaper of the two on the roster next year.

Phillips just has so many qualities of a top of the order hitter....batting first he rarely swings at the first pitch......batting 4th he almost always swings at the first pitch and rarely to any success.

He stole 3rd base in ridiculous manner...not only was there not a throw.....there was never even a thought of a throw. It wasn't of great importance with 2 outs......but it was of miimal risk with slightly more to gain....good play by him.

But at lead-off when the pitcher gets a hit to start the inning, Dusty can't keep him from hitting into DPs by wearing out the pitcher trying hit and run plays.

More rain on the way. Not here yet but it's coming.

We have reached regulation game length though, so it will count.

This offense is offensive to watch. It's a shame they traded away Alonso and Francisco at the deadline, would be nice to have a couple big bats in there.

I can't believe that ball made it over the CF fence. He hit that ball 405 feet with most of his weight on his front foot.

I have no idea how Jones did that....hit a 2 run HR on a ball 3 inches from the dirt.

That ball Doumit just missed getting a HR on looked like he didn't catch it "kill"....but looked like a probable HR...and definately a better hit ball than Votto's....but obviously not.

It's about time to take Leake out of the rotation for the year. Volquez will probably be back Sept1.
