Mineral Ridge comes to Campbell for the second meeting between the two schools. Mineral Ridge (6-4 last season), lost quite a few players to graduation, including running back Dan Skiba, quarterback Jesse Garland, and four starting linemen. Campbell (10-2 last season), lost a good group of seniors too. But the Red Devils return a group that's blessed with experience, size, and speed. My opinion is Ridge will be a decided underdog in this game. But it's week one where strange things can sometimes happen. What are your thoughts on this game?

High for Friday is 77 which is perfect for the first game of the year i hate watching games with cramps all over. But i see campbell in this one 35-14

Mineral Ridge is very very young and inexperienced at both sides of the ball. Last i heard two returning starters from last year with any experience. Devils defence dominates this game... 28-0. Not many teams will run on a healthy devils front 4... You know what i say 28-6... we could see some back ups playing to get experience this year... there has not been many times Devils got to give some playing times to back up over the years. this could be the year they get some playing time on varsity..

Like I said before, if we play a full season as a team we will be a force to be reckoned with. If they start to fall apart it could get ugly.
I hope they play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back of it.

Campbell should win big. This could be a good game for theJVs to get some time at the Varsity level.

If the D brings it like they did with East they should get some playing time... I'm extremely stoked for the season to get started... I thought last year i was excited about the team.. This year feels great and confidence is high.. Only thing is the team needs to work as one.. If the do they are gonna be as Lets_go side a force in div 5...BTrev;868741 wrote:Campbell should win big. I'm here. But I have to let you know that a few of the usual huddlers who are seated with or near me at the games have not been posting as often as they did in the past. I am looking forward to Friday night. The weather looks to be great. It would really like to see a big crowd. Also, I will not predict the scores of games. The kids and coaches read these forums and predicting a score might influence the effort that is given by the players on the field. It's taboo for me. In any event........GO DEVILS !!!!!!!!

I know, I miss their insight and contributions. It would be nice if they popped in.
I noticed on Letlows FB his status said he was hurt and only about 60% healthy. I hope he's ok, I believe he is the key to this defense.

No Love for the Devils. Checked out JJ sports power Polls.. No love!! They have 5-5 teams from last year and we went 10-2 and you guessed it No Love... Well we all know better and they might have just underestimated the Hart of a Devil.

I've seen polls where Campbell was ranked as high as 7th in the state in D-5. That being said, pre-season polls don't mean anything. They are nothing but popularity contests. Could not have said it better myself BigDean. Very Well Said.. I sure hope Letlow will be fine for Friday. If he is not ready by then Let him sit. We should be able to handle Ridge without him. Let him Heal.

I am going to the gridiron meeting tonight it will be my first gridiron meeting since going as a little kid lol i am going with my parents. hope to see ya there. I can't wait for friday weather is looking awesome. Can't wait to see the team in action together.

Sure wish i could go... I don't live close enough to go! But you will enjoy the devils this year. Last year was just a treat each week other then the Salem game and with Manchester.. The Manchester game still hurts for a reason. dlet has been known to use FB for sympathy from the ladies LOL...i wouldnt buy too much into this 60 percent garbage, if hes practicing on Monday hes playing Friday. The staff wouldnt practice him on Monday if it would put Friday in jeopardy. hes fine ill bet my bottom dollar
