the good news. LSU's backup is a very highly touted QB who left another SEC school and spent a year at JC.

the bad news. LSU's 'scholarship' they gave him has performance incentives if he starts year 1. Ticket prices in Tiger stadium will be coming up.

JJ and some other players might be furked. There is a 158+ page thread on tigerdropping although nothing is official here are some current cliffnotes on the the allegations of the fight.
Fight in parking lot of a bar on E. Boyd early this morning.

4 people (one of whom was apparently a Marine) were up against(depending upon whom you believe) between 11 and 30 LSU football players (JJ included) in the fracas.

JJ allegedly kicked the Marine in the head while he was down.

The Man is still investigating, but indications are that the 4 have lawyered up and are cooperating in the investigation and that up to 6 LSU players (including JJ) may face charges.

LSU is circling the wagons, saying nothing.
truck was trying to leave, 20+ players were standing around in his way, driver honks horn, fight ensues. Another guy named Andrew tries to pull the guy away, he gets slapped around. JJ kicks someone in the head.

I read about this early yesterday. It will be interesting to see what happens. Pretty dumb. Dont know if it will be a huge blow or not if we lose Jefferson for the Oregon game. I hate to say it, but I felt more comfortable with him for that game instead of Lee or Mett. I havent checked back on this situation since early yesterday so Im curious to whats developed.

lol. Sadly, thats how it works at all universities. The player(s) in trouble miss the easy games.

The other 3 guys werent starters in the years past, might of been this year though. Landry was going to be a freshman this year who was a 5* WR.
Josh Downs was the only player that played a good amount.
Chris Davenport barely played last year.
