Just picked this off of another site.....State Champions 50 years ago. Niles was a powerhouse program back then, from 1960 thru 1963 they went 36-0-3.

i realy believe Bo was destined be a future buckeye head coach. Great all around athlete, The 61 team produced 3 starters on the 64 michigan team that went on to win the rose bowl. Rick Sygar, charlie Kines and richard rindfuss.

Various problems. I know many Niles people arent happy with the BOE and the way they run things. Things apparently are real political around the program. Were on an upswing a few years ago with Phil Anarella as coach, but he left for Fitch and things went downhill for Niles.

They have sooooooooooo much tradition in Niles. It's a shame what's happened to their program over the years. It's not lack of talent or fan support. Maybe the coaching is suspect. Just conjecture on my part.

I would say coaching.
Bohren had them on the right track, but they ran him out of town too.
