What do you expect to see? Been out of state and have not heard much or seen any.

It will not get ugly unless the boys pick it up. Overall did not look good at the first scrimmage with CS. From what I have heard, did not make it. We will see how we look soon, PC should shed a little light on the weak areas.

How'd Dover look in their second scrimmage? Saw Carrollton scrimmage St. C's and they were down 28-7 in the 2nd quarter before I left. That being said I got Dover.

Here is a couple of comments I stole without shame from the other site pertaining to Dover's second scrimmage.

I have nothing good to say about Pick Central scrimmage. It was a humiliating beat down. I hope it anchors Dovers feet to the floor. I'm glade it was just a scrimmage. Pick Central you are the real deal, Dover is better then you saw. I hope?????

Every Picktown fan I talked to at the scrimmage had lots of good things to say about your team. You played a D1 team that has averaged giving up only about 5 points a game for the last several seasons.

The Pick Central vs Dover scrimmage ended around 2:15 this afternoon. Central was up 31 - 0 at the half.

Dover got off to a quick start hitting a mid range pass beyond the safety on second down and got deep enough into Tiger territory to go for it on 4th down. The Tigers adjusted and kept plugging away through the first half and built the gap.
The Tigers added three scores in the second half when more players were being rotated in.

The O line looked a little sluggish getting off the ball today and as noted above, a few holding calls resulted on the O. A couple on the ends and WRs as well as O line. Likely the end of two a day heavy legs and playing in the heat of the day.

The O could have timed things up a little better. Couple of zigs when you should zag type of thing. But in the end, they put the ball in the end zone.

The D adjusted to the Dover spread as the scrimmage wore on. A couple picks and a fumble pick up to set up a score in the 2nd I believe. Two picks went for scores one may have been called back. Another pick for score in the second half. Tiger pressure made for some errant throws which resulted in some picks and the one fumble return to set up a score.

Dover runs their system very well. The QB moves well and can slide away from trouble, good downfield vision. Their line did well within their scheme. They are all tall with a long reach. # 7 ran some nice routes downfield and was behind the secondary a couple of times. The Tiger DBs adjusted and made some great plays in coverage.

The Dover D was very pesky and the line got a good surge at the snap. The linebackers pursued well and got to the point of attack.

Looked like Dover had 6 to 8 guys on crutches on their sideline. Some pretty good size among them as well. Hope they will be able to return at some point of the season.

Overall, I think Dover will be fine for the long haul of the season. I definitely think they will win more than they will lose.

With all that being said, this years game should be closer than last years. Good luck Dover and HIT HIT HIT

The days of several media outlets covering local sports is over, they are the ones that generated interest in the local teams, the T.R. is on life support,WJER AM is a shadow of what it once was WJER F.M. has gone to Canton, WTUZ has announced they will not be broadcasting any local games.
The internet made talking about your team pretty popular and fun but I think people have grown weary of even that,so this is what is left.

That's what people have said about this game the past few times and look what has happened... It won't be any different this year.
