I used to be able to arrange a playlist by just dragging the song.

Now I can't.

Anyone have an idea what may be wrong?

Did I "uncheck" something?

You're using iTunes, that's what's wrong.

Oh you're that guy. Yeah I guess you're right, the most popular/easiest to use music player on the market is a POS. /sarcasm.

Well it is.

Less so on OS X but it's still quite bloated.

It isn't that it's missing any particularly important features. It's just more sluggish than it needs to be because of it's bloated nature.

And it is the most popular player but certainly not the easiest to use.

No.

iTunes is a notoriously bloated piece of software.

There's a lot to like about it and a some things to not like about it. Pretending it's perfect doesn't help anything. I'd like to see Apple give it a real overhaul (including UI) since they haven't done that in a very long time with the software.

What do you mean by organize? Rearranging the songs already in the play list? I don't think that's possible. You can drag from your music library or a playlist to another playlist to add that song to it, but I think that's it.

In your Library, you can only rearrange them by clicking on column headings.

In the playlists that you have created, you can rearrange them. But you have to make sure the shuffle is off. When it is in shuffle mode, you can't move the songs around.

Ah that part about the shuffle makes sense.

Its gotta either be the shuffle is on or it could possibly be a smart playlist.

The iTunes haters always crack me up. It pretty much dominates ALL music managing programs and its not even close and I've tried just about everything. wtf do you use? Winamp? lol

On Windows MediaMonkey, foobar2000, and the Zune software are all better options.

I use Zune most frequently because I like the interface a lot.
