2005 - Orrville 30 - Northwest 27
2006 - Orrville 30 - Northwest 14 (was close until late 4th)
2007 - Northwest 21 - Orrville 14
2008 - Northwest 34 - Orrville 14
2009 - Northwest 40 - Orrville 14
2010 - Orrville 24 - Northwest 22

When Northwest wins...it's lopsided.

When Orrville wins, it's close.

Week 1 is the great mystery. Mistakes, jitters, cramps.....all seem to play a part.

Hope for a good crowd, good weather, and both teams giving their best shot.

Gotta like our talent and speed we bring to any game this year....and expectations will be high. Gotta go out and prove it each and every week starting with Week 1.

The bigger question might be....where are the NW contingent going to eat and imbibe before the game now that the fire has taken Jerry's Bar out of the equation? Taco Bell?

well why dont you tell us where the orrville people go before the game. I can say northwest was very young last season. one thing forsure we will have a punter this year.

We started 6 seniors last year vs NW. 7 if you include the qb who was replaced after second series. I would not exactly say we were veteran either last year. As always this will be a great football game. Coach whiting always seems to have something up his sleeve. Us, well everyone knows what we do
The trick is to stop it. We are as balanced this year as any. Young up front in a few spots. I always enjoy the NW game

Jake's is now open east of Wooster, that way we can avoid the dangers of going into woooster :)

Back to the game...

From everything I heard at the end of last year combined with what I heard so far this year, Northwest should have a really impressive year. I'm not to the point where I guarentee 15 weeks, but we will see after our scrimmages...hahahaha Can't wait for the season to get going!

I will, however, predict a week 1 win for the Indians!!!

That's a bold statement 5knots. When I troll the Red Riders forum, sounds like nobody stands a chance against the Riders. I will say this, that it will be a great game, lots of ups and downs, drama, a very good plot, hell maybe NBC should have come North and filmed this for Friday Night Lights. Two backyard rivals ready to pound the snot out of each other. Too bad this game is not played in week 10, wait you guys play the big city school WOOOOSTER. What they've had 3 winning seasons in 20 years. Great tune up game for the play-offs.

Either way this is an awesome (did I use enough adjectives in this post?) game to start the 2011 Ohio High School Football season with! Go Indians!

5NOTS , you were a final 4 team returning a ton of talent from last season, you are not going to lay down. orrville never does. this game will be a good game as allways. ill go on record to say orrville has more speed more talent and d 1 recruits. so from an outsider looking in orrville should win by a score of 35-7.

I think both offenses will bring talent and playmakers. Might be which defense comes up with the big plays.

Orrville's special teams were the difference last year......our kicker and kick/punt returner are both projected as D-4 preseason All-Ohioans....so I have to assume we'll have solid special teams play again this year.

Figures a n00b would take a shot at one of our Stalwarts. That was NOT a cocky comment!

BRF gives a shout out to his old pal, NWindian"natin"! Ha ha! Glad you are back. I will add: Congrats on your new addition and best wishes for a new career! I look forward to poking at you on your posts again! ;-)

week 1 is tough for any team, every team has some new varsity players, hard to predict how they will react. Love opening with Orrville, both teams looking for big time seasons. Someone is gonna be a points cow for the other.

I think I would also prefer to have Orrville week 10...that would be AWESOME...teams are just so raw that first week. I would prefer to play a weak opponent the first week to get yourself clicking for the rest of the year.

BRF...THANKS! I look forward to a fun year of posting as well. Too bad your team is going to lose this year....
