It's obviously more important to win, but the entire point is they won't continue to win unless they put up better offensive numbers. Denver isn't going to give up 15 points a game for the next 10 years. It just isn't going to happen. The offense has shown no progress at all.
Consider the reverse scenario - Cam Newton. He has put up numbers, but the Panthers suck. Nobody is calling for him to get benched, because even though they're losing he obviously isn't the problem.
The Broncos are winning, but (outside of 1 magical drive per game) Tebow isn't performing. At all. And even if he does have jeebus on his side at the end of games, it won't matter if the Broncos are down 10 points instead of 3. And at some point they will be.
Again, Kyle Orton posted 8 straight wins his rookie year. The W/L number for a small part of 1 season means absolutely nothing. Nobody that I know of is calling for him to get benched
right now, they're saying he isn't good at this point and if he doesn't improve he
will be benched in the future.
