If you have not heard of ScoreFeeder (http://www.scorefeeder.com/), here is a quick summary:
  • ScoreFeeder is a free web app designed for coaches & statisticians to streamline the process of calling in/reporting stats to newspapers and other media outlets.
  • Instead of calling multiple papers after a game (I call 3 papers every Friday night), a coach/statistician can enter the stats into ScoreFeeder one time, simply check the media outlets to which the stats should be sent, and with one click of a button send the report to all the desired contacts.
  • One special feature of ScoreFeeder is that when the game reports are sent to the various media outlets, the box scores & stats are delivered in the format preferred by that contact. (the Akron Beacon, Youngstown Vindicator, Record Courier, The (Wooster) Daily Record, and others have been in contact with ScoreFeeder, providing their preferred format and receive in that format from ScoreFeeder automatically).
  • More people than just media outlets can receive the reports. Coaches can add more email addresses to the list of contacts. Also, fans can "subscribe" to their favorite teams, too, to receive box scores in an email any time a game is reported for that school.
ScoreFeeder debuted last Winter for basketball, then added softball and baseball in the Spring, and has now added football and soccer for this coming season. ScoreFeeder was founded by an Ohio man in Northeast Ohio, and the site has already had over 500 games reported. I think it is "the future" in terms of reporting stats. For me, as the football, basketball, and baseball statistician for my local high school, this is a huge benefit and will save me lots of time!

I thought others out there could benefit from this, whether you are a coach, statistician, or fan!

That'd be awesome. Then I wouldn't have to get online to bunches of different newspapers!!

JJHuddle was receiving basketball and baseball box scores last year and posting them. I think this would be a good idea for the OC, as well. Contact ScoreFeeder to see if you can get added to the list of media outlets. (Justin would probably have to do this.)
