Just landed a big recruit today.

Bennie Coney QB Plant City, Florida

Scout 3* #23 QB
ESPN 3* #31 QB

Finally starting to beat out some big name schools on a regular basis. This guy isn't even in our traditional recruiting footprint. I like what Butch Jones is doing.

Offer list included: Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Louisville, Boston College, Michigan, Michigan State, and Virginia Tech... and some smaller offers.

With a name like Bennie Coney the kid was destined to play at UC. The Goldstar and Skyline Chili must be licking their chops already.

Btw, looks like four star RB Dennis Norfleet is a heavy UC lean at this time, he may possibly commit this week. It's been a great recruiting class for the Cats already and there are still plenty more spots available. UC has pressing needs at LB and on the OL, but I am confident Coach Jones will take care of it.

Yeah danny I saw that Norfleet keeps hinting that he's going to become a bearcat. Can't complain about our RB situation if he comes on board. Pead can handle things this fall then next fall we'll have 2 4* RB's (Poteat and Norfleet) plus Mr. Ohio Football Akise Teague. If we can get a half way decent Oline, the Bearcats will run all over the BE

I guess they will pull the offer to Trenton Norvell from Seabreeze in Daytona. He is a verbal to Marshall, but then UC offered him about a month ago. Coney is more athletic, good pickup for UC.

SpeedofSand- what do you think about Pig Howard? Any chance he follows Coney to UC?

Didn't Coney get kicked off his high school team? Kid has some character issues.

Coney has 12 offers, including USF. Some schools have backed off after Coney missed most of his junior season due to disciplinary issues, but he told the Sentinel's Brendan Sonnone earlier this year that he's learned from his mistakes and has taken steps to make sure he is moving in the right direction.

Pig Howard is very high on the Gators list. He also has a brother at UCF; and SoCar, UC, WVU, Tenn. are his list. He wanted to follow Brewster to tOSU, I guess the Bucks don't want him.
