Ok, I like our bullpen, really all 5 of them. But lets be real, Joe Smith has been better than Pestano. We are gonna use Rage in the 9th. Why not Smith right here????

Keep them in their roles. Its been the only thing that has had any sort of consistency. Don't mess with it now.

As I said, I have confidence in all 5, everytime they go out. Just wondering why you wouldnt go Smith there. Why I would go Smith before Pestano is the same reason I would go Perez before Sipp. He is just that little bit better.

Thats true. Though havent they kind of swapped a bit all year? i know Pestano has been mostly the 8th inning guy, but it doesnt seem to be exclusive, though it could be and I didnt notice.

I understand what you're saying. Smith has been better lately. But vinnie has pitched the 8th most of the year, and he hadn't pitched in 5 days.

I hate Fenway....but I've always felt I'd be 'sacreligious' to voice it. So nice to see others feel the same way. Is there another place in the world where you can hit a broken bat home run?
