A few weeks ago I picked up a used Explorer and girl who worked there and I exchanged numbers (she helped until a salesman became available and was trying to sell me a warranty). She texted me a few days after I bought the Explorer and asked if I saw anything else there I liked and I told her I saw somethin else that looked pretty good but the salesman pulled me away before I could get a better look. Long story short, we went out that friday.
Now... she's a 23 y/o girl that was married for 4 months but divorced her husband b/c her parents have money and she wasn't used to living in a small house with a guy with "no future" .. so she's living back with her parents in their huge house and won't move out til she finds a guy that's a little more "like her family". She's willingly telling me all of this. So we've been out a few times and all she talks about are fancy cars and vacations and how life should be about having the nicest things possible b/c it's too short to "suffer".
I told her last night that I don't have the money to keep up with her and even if I did, I'd want someone who at least pretended not to be so materialistic... She told me that she's ok with what I have right now cuz she's sure in the future I'll have money "like her father" because he only started out like me lol.
I guess I can appreciate the honesty, but god damn woman lol.

Wow. She needs a reality check.

I live paycheck to paycheck. I do not have a the "finer" things in life, but, I have a wife that loves me (and I her) and two BEAUTIFUL boys. I own my home and try to give my kids things they need. I also have a job, and everything I have, I got on my own. Nothing has ever been handed to me, and that makes it all the better.

People like her make me sick. :(

Ya but that didn't take much convincing considering I love dogs.. and that girl is more likely to be kept around cuz she's a smart girl with her own money and career. This girl is 23 and never went to school and has no aspirations to ever do anything besides marry someone with money like her old man.

If you're getting an animal WITH another girl... you're dating her.

I was about to actually try to have a practical conversation with you, but then I remembered it's all an act so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy.

(Edit for stupid your/you're error)

Alright, whatever you like to do. I just find it hard to believe there are a lot of women who wouldn't get jealous (leading to big problems) if you are going out on dates with other women.

As long as someone isn't doing it under false pretenses, what's wrong with it?

I didn't get an animal with her. It's my dog at my house. She has 2 cats at her own house. I had a dog that I had to put down when we first started dating and that's why I put off getting another dog cuz it sucked putting it down.

She doesn't ask any questions just as I don't ask her any. She knew me when I was engaged and knows I don't want that again.. I knew her when she was engaged and although I don't know she doesn't want that again, she's never talked to me about it.. so what's the problem here?

this girl reminds me of a chick i roomed with in college. she was going to school to be a teacher and when i asked why go to marietta to be a teacher (because I knew from her grades she couldn't be getting financial aid or scholarships worth a damn) her reply "Dad's paying for college and I don't expect to work too long before settling down and having a few kids."

my thoughts were in the gutter because she is ugly and I couldn't imagine the douche that claimed her as a trophy wife. but I kept my mouth shut which is a feat for me.

It's not a big deal. Both girls are probably out getting pounded as we speak, so he may as well have all the action he wants.

No problem if its agreed. Just seems like odd foundations for a good relationship. I won't judge though. If it works for you, then good for you.

exactly.. I know when we don't talk for a week she's prolly with another guy. I'm sure she knows I'm prolly with another girl. It's not like we have any kind of commitment to each other. We'll hang out 4-5 times a week then not speak for a week or two. We go out on dates when we are speaking. Just like she's prolly doing with whoever she meets.. just like I'm doing with whoever I meet. It'd be one thing if we were exclusive or planning to get married.

I dunno if it is a "good relationship", but it works for us. I don't feel for her enough to care if she's with someone else. I'm sure the feelings mutual.
