maybe ND should be banned form wearing the green jerseys because they match the field too lol. boo fucking hoo, guard the players and dont come up with excuses. Boise could rack up 8 or 9 wins a season playing a player down in that conference, theyre not winning games because of blue uniforms

I have Heard they sometimes work on a trick play where they have a player lay down on the field to blend in and then take off once the play begins i think its on a kickoff

They win by 40 points a game. When you're as dominant as they are the field and uniforms don't matter much. Now they will win by 35 at home. Big deal. Besides, they are almost as dominant on the road as they are at home.

Nevada begs to differ. Also note that in road games the past like 3 years, they've had several close calls against teams that are horrible (La Tech, for instance).

So you're admitting that it does create an unfair advantage..but since it's only a difference of winning by 35 and not 45, it shouldn't be banned?

It obviously does create an unfair advantage in a game where peripheral vision is so important.

Talked about this with one of my friends who plays for Miami (OH). They played at Boise and he said that it definitely took at least a half to adjust to the blue players on the blue field.

I wonder how much of it has to do with TV revenue too. I won't watch Boise home games because it is too stressful on the eyes

I think it definitely creates an advantage.
If you're a safety, it's gotta be hard trying to spot a back in the backfield or some receivers in their routes. If there is some orange in there, you can spot it quicker. I mean hell, blue helmet on top of all blue unis.
I honestly wonder if it ever had an effect on the Boise players, specifically the quarterback.
I think ND has their QB setup with a helmet cam for practice purposes now. I think it would have been interesting if someone did this when Boise played in the all blues to get an actual player perspective.
What's their home game win streak at right now?

Same could be said for a lot of top tier teams. Shit happens on the road.

I know the WAC is/was a poop conference and Boise is a good program, but they the WAC wasn't always a dumper conference and Boise wasn't always dominate.

There is no rule on the color of the field. For any level of NCAA.
It just costs a little more. You can't easily repair a section of the field because it's not the standard green color from the manufacturer.
Really, Boise State wouldn't be much different than if a team wore all green helmets, jerseys, pants, etc to blend into the artificial grass of a 'normal' field. Hell, the Browns used orange helmets to let QBs spot receivers better and brown jerseys to try to hide the ball. Nothing new.
