Few weeks ago ESPN classic had some Boston-Chicago games and Boston and Laker games.
It waas enjoyable to watch those legends play. One thing you will notice about the older game is less holding, grabbing, bumping and less physicality of the game. It flowed much better and to me was more enjoyable than gorilla ball that is the NBA nowadays. I credit the Pistons bad boys and the Jordan Rules for the change. Even so, the Pistons did still average a pretty good amount with still focusing on bruising defense.
some could call it no defense at all back in the day, or some could call it playing defense without grabbing, bumpting etc.

This posed a question by Inside Hoops on a 3 vs 3. MJ, Magic, Bird vs Kobe, Dirk, LeBron.
IMO, it wouldn't even be close

Kobe, dirk and MeBron would win.
Other three are too old and washed up

Lol.
I'm pretty sure the ? Is in terms of all players being in their primes. It's a 'fantasy' match-up.

That'd be a helluva 3 on 3.
I'd go with Jordan, Bird and Magic.
Give me Kobe, LeBron and Durant against MJ, Magic and Larry.

MJ is that much better than everybody else and Magic is > at doing what he needs to do for the team than LBJ... Also, Larry vs Durant is NO CONTEST. Dirk would be a better match up, but Larry would probably destroy him as well.

Larry couldnt stop anybody on D that has been mentioned so far though lol,so Durant would spray Larry. But Larry would also take Durant to school, itd be a wash
MJ basically makes whatever team hes on in this scenario the winner

Never was a huge Magic fan growing up as I was a celtics fan, but all ya really need to know about him is the time that the lakers needed a center and he played that position and did very well. Showed that he could do almost whatever he wanted.
