Did anyone with any plausible knowledge of college football actually think that this wouldn't eventually happen?

not surprised that douchebag Midstate is unable to make a coherent post.

Danny Sheridan w/PF,'NCAA 's investigation into AU has been revved up since Chizik's encounter in Destin.'
Sheridan on Cam Newton investigation,'As I understand it, the NCAA is trying to get an alleged 3rd person or bag man to come forward.'
Sheridan,'The investigation on Cam Newton is centered on his recruitment to AU. MSU is not a factor at all.'
Sheridan,'If the dots get connected, major sanctions will follow- vacation of Heisman & national champiosnhip.'
Sheridan about NCAA investigation at AU,'They think they know the third party & who put up the money.'

^^^^ as if we didnt know all of this already. the fucked up NCAA was just turning blind-eye when allegations came up, because it would have fucked up the hype of the national championship with Cam Newton suspended and they would have lost money.

Colin Cowherd went NUTS on sportsnation about the NCAA favoring the SEC. I don't always agree with what he says, but I've never seen him this animated about an issue. He was really adamant about LSU being punished harsher and about how Auburn was able to get away with paying someone. Sounds like it they may not get away with it for much longer.

Damn.yeah. Nobody cares about vacating, which is exactly why the NCAA does what they do. Let the big boys play when you can and then act like re-writing history is some tough guy stance. It is the only way they can really handle things.

Exactly. The NCAA makes a ton of money and then they try to pretend like it never happened? How about they give the money back then?

For some reason, I was thinking that when schools vacate NCAA tourney wins they do have to give the money back. Anyone know if that is the case? I would think that the NCAA can't do anything about bowl money because they don't operate the bowl system. Perhaps fines that correspond to a school's bowl take (which varies by conference because most split bowl money from all teams)?

I want the NCAA to give back money too!

ND and scUM Idiots calling for OSU to get the Death Penalty over one little lie (argue that all you want...but that is still the one single proven violation to date) and the SEC gets away with blatant bribes.

FYI...this "scUM idiot" does not call for the death penalty for OSU.

Ha ha. Yes, you'd think if an event didn't happen (like a school's entire season) the fans would be reimbursed for the games they did not see. But I guess only part of the fans didn't get a game because the losing teams still got to experience it.

The sponsors should be reimbursed for commercials during games that weren't played too!

If I were Auburn, I would self report this right now, impose sanctions on themselves, and that way they can still be known as a clean program!!

There's pretty much no doubt that Auburn is going to get hit eventually. But at the end of the day, I don't really care since my team is actually good year in and year out, and whatever happens to Auburn will not affect me.

No, I'll go there to read various recruiting profiles when ND/OSU intersect on the recruiting trail. Same with a UM board.
