I'm going to be in Columbus for 3 days in early August and was wondering about things to do.
We had already planned on the Zoo and a shopping trip to the Polaris mall, since we're staying about a mile away, however, what else should I look into?
How is the German Village? Any other shopping areas I should visit?

If the Clippers are home, catch a game. The new stadium is amazing. Easton is a great place to shop and is only about 20 minutes from you. Not much to do in German Village unless you want to pick up men.

Pretty open ended question. Columbus isn't exactly a tourists dream but it has good stuff to offer.
If you drink, Arena District is a must.

If you are going to the zoo you might want to see if they offer a combo deal for the water park zoombezi (sp?) bay. It gets crowded in the late morning and early afternoon but if you get there around 4:30 and stay until close the crowd thins out.
As mentioned above, go see a Clippers game if they are in town or a soccer game with the Crew.

Check out the new Scioto Mile Walk in downtown along the river. Great restaurant and bar at the south end of the walk and quick hop over to the Brewery District.

Arena District/Clippers game makes for a nice day/night outing.
If you are in town on a Friday night, I highly recommend Jazzoo. The Columbus Jazz Orchestra plays at an outside amphitheater at the Columbus Zoo, right along the river. It is catered, so you can eat, have a beer or glass of wine and listen to one of the hottest Jazz bands in the country. They are very good. Starts at 8pm and is over by 10pm, so you can still go out after if you are so incline.

Definitely hit up Schmidt's! Thurman Cafe is also worthwhile in eating at.
I went to both last week. I think Schmidt's is easily becoming my favorite place to eat. I did The Thurmanator last week too...in two sittings.

Thanks for the suggestions, I believe the Clippers are in town on the day I get into town, so I was thinking about checking out a game.

Columbus Crew too!
I don't know when you are in, but they do have a home game on August 13 -- it's also Bob Evans Buck-a-Brat Night!
