I opened this because I have a question . I learned on www.ovathletics that Bahen is now assistant coach at Martins Ferry. Is this true ,and if so is he still teaching at SCC?

My understanding is that is the scenario for this upcoming school year.

I agree. He still has a desire to do it and he has an opportunity so I hope everything pans out for him.

So how about this year? Heard that the second passing scrimmage against IC went very well. I was told that the offense moved the ball very efficiently and that the defense looked pretty good as well. Did anyone here make it?

No, I didn't make it to it. Good to hear though. I asked how it went (serious question) on the IC thread, but no one responded.

Maybe that's why.

Sorry I didn't respond on the other thread, I didn't see your question. I talked to two people who were at the scrimmage and I was told IC pretty much did as they pleased. They said that Central was very young looking and small. I do know one thing though, I heard that Central will be well conditioned this season... I have heard they are really getting their kids in shape.

No problem. The part about conditioning is good to hear.

Sam...I got a different version from the folks I talked to. And they were from Creek. IC was missing a few linebackers and the middle got killed. The IC starter was picked four times and the backup three. Also was told that there were quite a few drops on the passes that were on the mark. On the other side, I was told Central moved the ball pretty well the first few possessions but the IC corners and safeties got better as the scrimmage went on. Overall Central starters won by 2 or 3. Don't put a lot of weight in these things myself but at least they get the kids moving.

Well who knows then... The people I talked to are pretty reliable when it comes to info seeing how the scrimmage was off limits to the public, but I wasn't there so I do not know for sure. All I can go off of is by what I am told.

I can't see Kemp throwing 7 picks... UNLESS The IC coaches made the same decision they did last year in one of the scrimmages which was to do the entire scrimmage on a one or two step drop and throw immediately. I know Adam threw quite a few picks last year when they tinkered with that.

Four by Kemp and three by the backup was what I was told. Also heard that the receivers didn't help much with plenty of drops to go around. Again, not a big deal but not a good thing either.

only one of the starters has been able to attend the scrimmages so I'm not that upset either.

Good read. Thanks for posting. I think that Steve is going to do a helluva job as the HC of the football team.

Only one ? Must have been Kemp. If only one played, then what the hell is going on ?
