I didnt really expect to play well, but this is pretty bad. We have a ton of new guys in there, new formation, and one of our 3 seasoned vets is playing a completely new role. Id say its pretty understandable. Plus, our coach has been in charge for about 6 minutes.

Who is that left back? Fiscal? I don't know anything about him, but he looks scared shitless.

I agree with the announcers. I'm not a fan of the lone striker, especially when its Buddle, but I understand its just a friendly and we need to get looks.

It doesnt help that Michael Bradley is playing a CDM role even though he is an attacking Mid today lol. Idiot is almost a defender half the game so far. I also do wonder if Klinsy is going to flat out use this formation regardless so everyone knows it. Thus, when we get our real players they might make the formation work better.

Not going to claim I know much about the state of the US team...

But has Chad Marshall ever gotten a look? I know he's won defender of the year a few times in the MLS. Maybe he could help?

He has been called up a few times I believe. The biggest thing is, typically only 6 defenders are brought on, as you usually need offensive subs. Our better defenders (at least in theory) play overseas. So while Marshal has been dominant in the MLS, Gooch, Cherundolo, Bocanegra, DeMerrit, Spector, etc are playing overseas.

Not a lot to take from this game aol far. Quiet on both ends, not a lot of flow from the US. Guess that'll happen with all the young players out there though.
