And people say OSU doesn't get a raw deal from the media. I never heard one snippet of this story until right now.

That's because Georgia Tech is a second tier university while Ohio State is the premier school in the country in academics and athletics. Of course OSU will get more press. OHIO STATE> georgia tech

I look for there to be close to a dozen schools under probation by the start of next season (2012). With how much digging there is, more and more will come up.

LOL GT is clearly a better academic school than OSU. #35 vs #56. Athletically you are absolutely right...but how can you say OSU is way better than GT academically. And believe me...I hate them.

Check out sean bedford's (former gt center) to the ncaa. It was pretty spot on imo. And of course mark may supported it and found a way to crack osu

The GT fans I know in Atlanta didn't even hear a whisper of an NCAA investigation until the penalty was announced. That is weird.

Rankings are meaningless. OSU is 10x the university Georgia Tech will ever be and I don't need worthless rankings to know that.

While you are correct, nothing was mentioned of this when they received their LOI, or when they went before the COI. The first time anyone heard about this was when the punishment was handed down, and 4 years probation and being stripped of a conference title sounds like a pretty big deal. I understand that GT being investigated isn't going to bring ESPN ratings like OSU or USC will, but you would at least think that it would have been mentioned before this.

The "probation" penalty is complete BS. Loss of post season games and schollies are the ball-breakers. Probation is as worthless as that 500' restraining order my ex-wife has against me.
