IMO if it is needed on the steak than the steak is bad. I little one a burger used as a marinade is good though.

A steak is meant to be eaten medium rare to medium where you can taste at least a little of the blood and hear the cow moo just a little when you bite into its juicy tastiness. I've never understood why anyone wants to cover that up with spiced-up ketchup.

I use some A1 sauce with an egg, spices and bread crumbs in a bowl when mixing up my burgers. Keep it away from my steak though.

While I don't despite A-1, I would only use it if I was offered a steak that was dry or too well-done. Its more of a steak cover-up than something that should be used on a quality piece of meat. But hell, if you enjoy it, go for it.

I used to put on baked potatoes. If I was going to smother a steak in something, which I wouldn't unless is was a shitty piece of meat, it would be Heinz 57.

I love A-1. A-1 on a burger off the grill is heavenly. I also use it on my steak and have even used it on chicken.
Like BR1986 I have even put it on potatoes. Try dipping your french fries into them to clean up your plate of extra sauce.

I love the stuff I just don't use it on my steak. I could drink it right from the bottle though. On burgers, taters, dip your garlic bread in it!

I love A1. It's a great way to cover up a bad piece of meat. But why ruin a good piece of meat with it?
