I think "survived" is accurate term for land lines, because they aren't thriving anymore. Heck my family ditched the land line and know others that have as well. Everyone that we need has our cell numbers, no need for the extra phone anymore.

Agreed. The only people who ever called my land line were telemarketers. I ditched my home phone before the do not call listing and have never had a reason to go back.

lol. I will never own a land line. I have my cell phone on me at all times. No need for an extra bill to pay.

Not kill, but may lessen there use even more. Why pay the extra for a land line when you can simply click on a name and use the internet for voice and video. I know you could do the same before, by downloading Skype, but with the pace that FB is growing this could be huge.
