Well, I stuck around my current place of employment for another year, and then set a goal to be out by July. I landed a job in downtown Chi-town. I start August 1st. Super excited. Been a long dream of mine to move to this great city. New gig has about the same as I make now, but I can now collect commission. It's in the field where I want to be (financial advisory). Cannot frickin' wait!

Where downtown you gonna be working? I'm typing from the Merch Mart now. Let me know if you need any suggestions on places to live.

Chase Tower. So in the Loop area. Trying to stay relatively close to that area. Or north going up the Red line. I'm living with an old roommate from college, so we've been searching for places now. We wanna "live the lifestyle" so to speak...so South Loop is my idea location. At the same time, I'm not about to break the bank just to have a nice place. Found some decent places along the Belmont stop, around Oak Lawn I believe? Not really sure, I don't have my notes in front of me.
