Who wins in division three this year? knowing that Marlington Mooney Poland and Steubenville will play each other in the playoffs in the stacked region 11 this year. could this be a year for a sleeper team to take the title?

I think Marlington will be favored in reg. 11,Bucktel in reg 9 one of these 2 are my picks to win it all. Gotta give props to Dover to possibly win reg.11 4 of the last 5 years in the title game they have to get the win eventually.

So will Mooney and Marlington. I can't see anyone outside of those 3 having a shot to win region 11 this year.

This division is stacked. Each region has at least 3 teams that could win.

Region 9: Hoban, Buchtel, Lake Catholic, St. V - St. M, Chagrin Falls, Padua
Region 10: DeSales, Watterson, Eastmoor, Clyde
Region 11: Mooney, Dover, Marlington, Steubenville, Poland
Region 12: Alter, McNicholas, Eaton, Taft, Wyoming, Carroll, Alder

Basically, you can count on every matchup from the 2nd round on being pretty darn good.

That's a very impressive list of programs. Hard to say who the regional champs will be, much less the final winner. With probably 8 or 10 teams capable of winning it all, injuries and luck will likely play a role.

My guess, and that's all it can be, based on this list, would be Buchtel in R9, DeSales in R10, Mooney in R11 and Alter in R12. I'm an Alter homer, and I haven't seen some of the teams play or know what they have this year. So my guesses are based on what I see in R12 plus exeriences of years past in other regions.

Is Thornville Sheridan still in R11? Will they be strong again this year? You can never count them out.

Marlington? Are you serious?
How could they be favored over the likes of Mooney or The big red?

...Yes T.S. is in Region 11 & I was in Columbus when Mooney played Sheridan in 87 for the state championship, what a game!

Sheridan is a good program and will have a say in who makes it to the state title game in 2011!

Maybe since a mooney guy coaches them he got confused.

SpreadAllDAy, I can't take Steubenville over Marlington this year. The Dukes were better than them last year and all their top guns are back and they have more FBS players then Steubenville does. Mooney, I'll give you. That should be a good game. It looked like a young Marlington team out performed a young Mooney team last year, but there was really no opportunity to draw any kind of real comparisons. If they should meet it will be a heck of a game, but there's too many good teams in the region to just pencil them in as a regional final.

If N.W. gets in they will be a team to watch for, brutal schedule if I remember correctly the trick will be winning enough games to qualify.

Of those teams I see StV/StM, DeSales, Mooney and Alter winning their regions.

Lots of great players, programs, coaches and history with those schools listed...!
I normally never do this but I'm going to take a shot at picking the 4 finalists b/4 the season starts for D3.

Region 9----Akron St. V's
Region 10---DeSales
Region 11---Cardinal Mooney (ok I'm being a homer for my boys) Marlington & Big Red could be there at the end as well.
Region 12---Kettering Alter

I would love to see this...just because I want to see all the whining about an all-Parochial Final Four in D3! Skank's head might explode if it happened!
