Not dead yet .. free resting place

The other day my wife when to her parents grave site. Her father was a veteran and the vet sticker was removed or fell off. My wife and I knew that we had been given two plots or we thought we were give two plots. Today I when to the office to get a new veteran sticker for her dads grave stone. In the conversation we discovered that we don’t have two plots but we have a total of six plots all together. (With two more plots I could put a Camper on the sucker)

Problem 6 plots: wife and I - 2 three daughter – 5 Two daughter married – 7 and one daughter not married yet = a total of 8 plots needed …. What to do?

Good news I can rest free…

Have any of you have plots or arrangement for your death? Or you just going to let someone else deal with that ..

I'm almost positive I've already got a spot lined up at the cemetery but I'll be getting cremated and having my ashes spread. I guess I can just have a headstone.

Yep, when my uncle died, my other uncle, bought up 16 plots surrounding him so his wife couldn't be no where near him when she passed away.

I'm having my ashes sprinkled on Leroy Powell's crotch so I can be near Justin.

When I'm dead, I'm dead. I don't care what happens to the body. Bury it, burn it, feed it to orphans. Whatever.

A guy from NASA came around door to door a couple years ago selling a plan to have your deceased ashes sealed in a canister and carried into space aboard one of the Shuttle flights and then released into orbit. Sounded great to me and I gave the guy a check for $1500 and he gave me this really official looking certificate which my family presents to NASA upon my passing and its all taken care of.

This. I haven't worried about it, but I told my wife to whatever is the cheapest. I wouldn't care if she dug a hole out back and tossed me in it. (I would hope she would at least make it deep enough the coyotes couldn't get to me...)

The final shuttle launch is July 8th. Nice knowing you.

I'll be cremated and spread in my parents' old back yard.

Anyone have a clue what a cheap cremation costs? Is there a cheaper way to go?

Or a good bonfire after the barbecue. Just dump the corpse on top of the wood and you have a reasonable imitation of a viking funeral pyre. If I have my way, that's how I'm going!

Maybe, but Waste Management frowns on it.
