Sounds like a redistribution of competitiveness to me. OHHH booo hooo, big bad google leads the industry in searches, and no one else can sniff them in smarts and services, so lets file a lawsuit. :D

i think they need to be checked more for what they are doing with the user information more so than directing traffic to their own sites.

its called a monopoly..and is illegal when you abuse it. see microsoft

Illegal, and yet not necessarily even intentional. Google is where they are because they're the best at what they do, and they are not abusing anything.
