Coning: Cone-ing is when a person orders an ice-cream cone at a drive-thru and when the order is ready accepting the cone from the ice cream end instead of the cone. This will here hereby confuse the drive-thru attendant.


Have you guys heard of this? WTF -- There are all kinds of vids on youtube about it -- I figured it was a new thing, but the urban dictionary definition has been there for a few years...

coning is also when you pull an oil reservoir too hard and water influx from the charging aquifer begins flowing more readily than the oil. Thus changing the relative permeability of the reservoir to both oil and water. It's very bad and is a big reason why there are still millions of barrels of unproduced oil in the berea sandstone that will likely never get produced.

Not really. At least ding dong ditching pisses someone off or irritates someone. "Coning" is just fucking stupid, it doesn't piss anyone off, no one cares what you do with the ice cream cone.

My daughter works at the local ice cream shop with a drive thru and no one has done this to her. It looks pretty stupid, but so is ding dong ditching, which my son thinks is the most wonderful game ever.
