Looking at getting a projector TV for my basement. Any suggestions?

1. they're huge
2. for a good one they're expensive
3. lamps still go bad.
4. anything not remastered, or shot in high definition (i.e. lower resolution shit) will look like shit.

oh shit. i see what your saying now. I thought you meant rear projector. like a DLP.

yeah i know nothing of projector TVs other than if i had the space i'd own one.

Yea I would not even think about a Projector TV. Either LCD or Plasma. If it is going to be in a dark room than go with the plasma as they are cheaper and look a little better IMO but they glare something horrible so they have to be in a dark room. If there is windows, go with a LCD for sure.

yeah but if you've got like a 100" area on a wall where you can put your screen i'd say do it.

If you got that much space I would buy a nice Projector not a Projector TV. lol

I bought a projector last winter and will never own a tv again. I love it. Only a 78" screen right now.

It's a vivitek. I'd have to look up the model number. I got it on amazon for $750.
