Tuesdays 630 at Worthington Kilbourne High School on Hard Road in the back of the school Kilbourne will be hosting open mats with the new coach, Coach Shaut. Last week we had good numbers, about 20 kids and a variety of weights. Once Groveport goes strictly to Wednesdays in July and you're looking for a tuesday workout, come on over. Good room good environment. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

P.S. Kilbourne guys, no more excuses. You have a coach now! If you weren't working before this, get in there now. For some its your last chance to make the District or State tournament. Go out with a bang. Time for a new tradition, and it starts in the Summer! Have the attitude that you want to get better. why not us? Go time.

OK, I was all set to go up to Kilbourne tonight and then my wife called with car trouble. Long story short, I just got home and it's ten after seven. I pledge to Bw133 (and all the other wrestlers I told I would be there) that I will be at next week's Tuesday room...No excuses.

I'll see what I can do about making it as well. My brother has pledged a Tuesday as well.

Hey guys, LOVE to hear it, we had a good room tuesday. Lots of guys showing up. Some of the Usuals from the groveport open mat, a former thomas wrester ( who was and still is a beast) thomas kids, an olentangy orange wrestler, st.charles, centenial etc. We had a great showing and I expect next week to be even better! Kilbourne wrestlers, this should be exciting.. Good competition is showing up to YOUR/OUR doorstep. Get in the mix. See ya next week.

This was a great room last night; six or seven State placers, a few more State qualifiers, several District qualifiers. I'd say there were close to 30 wrestlers packed in that room and everyone got a workout. We'll certainly be back next week. All credit to Bw133...If you build it they will come.

August can easily be managed, and thanks. We hope to keep building and if need be pull out mats and use the big aux gym possibly. I love having te problem of having too many kids.. sadly there were only 3 kilbourne guys! Never has kilbourne seen a room like these past two weeks, thanks for all who are coming and see you next tuesday!

bw133: for the first 2 or 3 years it was just my brother and I. Then, a couple years after that, we had two non-Cruiser graduates. Now we have a few Cruisers but it took time.

Also, along the way, it has become MUCH more than an opportunity to keep our kids on the mat. We have enjoyed the relationships made along the way.

I'm thrilled with the turn out! Kilbourne will have Open Mats on Tuesdays through August. We will have more mats rolled out starting July 26. Can't roll out additional mats on July 19th due to football camp. But we will still have our wrestling room. Let's continue to work together! Thanks!

I feel like I was in a car wreck, every part of my body hurts. Excellent room again last night. Very similar to last week with a few new faces. The college guys add so much to the room. Young wrestlers can learn so much from just watching the way they drill and how intense their goes are.
