Anyone catch this one? For those who missed it, Ohio rolled Pennsylvania 50-14. Ohio was led by UC signee Akise Teague who had 3TDS in this one.

Teague was one of the best players that I've seen Big Red face in a long time.
He pretty much single handily beat us on offense AND defense.
Special player.

Teague is a great player and a great kid to be around. Can't wait to see him lead UC to the promised land!

There are a lot of OSU fans who didn't (still don't) understand why Teaque didn't get an offer. I don't care that he's only a buck eighty -- you can't discount heart and desire on a football field, not to mention outstanding speed and agility.
I was very happy with how Devin Smith and Doran Grant played. Both had outstanding games, and are going to be out and out studs in the Big Ten.

Ohio was very impressive!! As was Teague...I really wish he was gonna be a Buckeye but hopefully he does very well at UC. He's a very exciting player to watch. His moves in the open field are amazing and his strength is surprising

Those were just rumors that he wasn't going to make grades. His coach came out back in january I think and cleared that rumor up.
I'm definitely ready to see our RB's from this class get on the field. Akise Teague is going to be a special player.

He had a 3.2 GPA his senior year, that was NEVER the issue. His grades improved year over year.

Why do people always assume that someone has an issue of grades if they do not sign at OSU? It is pretty insulting to the recruit for people to spout off about things they do not know about. Besides, if it is a grade issue, don't you think Teague would have gone to YSU, Akron or Kent? Like OSU, getting into UC has become increasingly more difficult than it used to be.
As for other alternatives, maybe Tressel did not sign Teague because he was already comfortable with their RB situation. Maybe he was concerned about the scholarship situation in the future since he would have known by the end of singing period the feces was about to hit the fan.

Bingo, the only was osu was signing a rb last year was if the kid was an absolute stud and can't miss prospect. This kid was good but not in that category.

Which is not the same as described when related to the Big Ten.

^^^ We'll see. UC plays OSU in 2012* and 2014, Illinois in 2013 and Purdue on an annual basis from 2013-2016.
*There is a rumor floating around this game is being bought out.
