No. No. No.

If this happens, I'll cut Dave Brandon's throat.

I have nothing against Mascots. Brutus, the Duck, Albie, The Leprechaun, Bucky, Oscenola and Renegade... are all great mascots. I don't think we've ever had one, and I personally think it'd be an epic fail.

It actually doesn't bother me as long as it's a cool one and not something cheesy.

As long as the mascot isn't a person dressed up as a character I'm O.K. with them. I think those cartoons that run around and call themselves mascots are just ridiculous.

Hope Michigan does the right thing and doesn't pick a cartoon character.

As a traditional kind of dude, my thought is why? It's not like UM will increase revenue, seats sold or anything, what exactly will be the benefit? Being more like everyone else?

* unique, identifiable fight song...check
* unique, identifiable ugly ass helmets...check
* gigantic stadium that seats 100k shittily...check
* fugly ass cheerleaders...check

why mess with success?

I'm all for a wolverine mascot as long as it looks good. Nothing wrong with having something kids can get pics with and all that.

It was a joke someone made up the other day. People were up in arms about having a mascot, so he thought they should do a Block M mascot.

Hahaha.

I just don't think it'd be a success. It's going to look like Bucky Badger of Goldy Gopher.

Remember when Oregon brought out Mega Duck or w/e? Epic Fail. The kids might like it, but getting pictures with players and cheer leaders has worked well for a number of years.
