After only two years how could disloyalty even be mentioned???
What was the position he took at the new location?

He will be a line coach again. even after only two years that is enoiugh time to build a bond with a coach. we did that with kopachy before his first year was even overCon_Alma;805891 wrote:After only two years how could disloyalty even be mentioned???

He could have done it for several reasons. Maybe it was part of getting a teaching job there or maybe it is closer to home. I wouldn't say it is disloyal.

Because you built a bond doesn't mean he was disloyal.
A coach making a move after two years simply isn't disloyal. There are many reasons that a coach can and should move.

The guy is moving for good reason and should not be faulted whatsoever. He was a very good baseball coach as well and has been a positive influence. Good luck to him.

This coach was passed over for a social studies teaching job at Salem before last school year so this outcome can be expected for a young coach. He was given an opportunity to be a teacher in a very fine school district and a chance at being 20 minutes closer to his home. Surely no one can fault this decision. He coached for Mike Kopachy for nine years and I am sure it was not easy leaving him or the players at Salem. Keep in mind that football is only a game and teaching is his chosen profession...coaching does not pay the bills.

That clarifies an awful lot. Certainly not disloyal by any means.
