Tressel just conveniently didn't know about any of this that seemed to happen quite often while he was coaching. Either he is lying or is inept at maintaining some sort of discipline over his players. Either way, he has to be let go. You're right, Tressel didn't get in trouble while at YSU, but he did at Ohio State. It finally caught up with him.lhslep134;805854 wrote:You don't know what really happened at YSU. Ask Ray Isaac, he was quoted a few weeks ago as saying he was sure that Tressel had NO IDEA about his illegal dealings with Monus.
It's getting really freaking annoying all of these people bringing up YSU when they have no clue what really happened. Funny how between the university Pres, the AD, Tressel, and Monus, Tressel was the only one to not get in trouble. Hm....
If you would like to know what really happened at YSU, feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to tell you. My father and some of his associates did legitimate business with Monus and I can enlighten you as to Tressel's innocence.
If I cared enough I'd ask him myself as we will be at a wedding in which my cousin is marrying his niece. However, I don't feel it is appropriate seeing as he is not the Ohio State football coach anymore. It is over with. I don't think less of Tressel as a man and he is not the coach, so it doesn't matter anymore.
Exactly. Tressel seemed to not know what was going on even though it continually seemed to happen under his reign and players were caught often. Yet he didn't know about it. He didn't want to know about it, that I'll give to the defenders of Tressel.karen lotz;805865 wrote:Similar to how Clarett recently said Tressel knew nothing of his improper benefits.
