Figured I would go ahead and start the thread.

On Espn radio today they were talking about Dwight Howard getting traded. Obviously the Lakers are probably the favorite, but some wondered if the Heat might dangle one of the big 3. How crazy would it be if they sent Lebron's talents to Orlando?

Who would Orlando take from Miami? I doubt Miami trades Bron or Wade and I doubt Orlando takes Bosh, unless the deal is sweetened.

Orlando still has a shot at keeping Dwight, because by all accounts, he loves living there... He also has said publicly that he doesn't really have a desire to go to LA and continue to follow in Shaqs' footsteps.

I still think he ends up in LA, but we'll see.

Also, Otis Smith despises Miami, so I doubt he'd do the trade, unless, like I said, LeBron or Wade was involved.

If I was Riley I would trying to send Bosh their way. I'd dangle any other piece they have remaining too. Chalmers? Only problem is that Chalmers is a PG and the Magic are set there

Dwade would probably get it done. The NBA would be even more interesting next year. Can you imagine the aftermath of that. The Magic and Heat are in the same division too. Im guessing they would choose to keep Lebron?

Magic will not make Miami stronger by trading within their own division. Just not going to happen.

jordo, you better quit talking about this shit before Dynasty sniffs it out and criticizes you for talking about rumors.

I heard a rumor about the Heat possibly acquiring Greg Oden. Should they make that move knowing his history with injuries?

By all accounts, Portland is going to make an offer for Oden. I doubt he goes anywhere.

Agreed 100% that the Magic and Heat would never do any of these trades. However, the Magic should never let spite or emotion decide the future of the franchise. Thats bad business. You're going to lose Howard, try and maximize your return.

As for dynasty, I hope he doesnt stumble upon this thread, because that means like_that and CoA will ride his coattails in and derail the conversation by calling anybody with a different viewpoint "passive aggressive"

But for conversation sake, Miami with D12, Bosh, and Wade or LeBron would be even scarier than the current assembled team.

Cant get fair value for him at this point. Get him on the cheap, hope he stays healthy, and the deal him around the deadline for a better haul

They won't break up the Big 3(2), yet. I could see it if they are beginning year 4 and they haven't won a championship they could blow it all up.

In all likelihood, I don't think the Heat will ever win a championship, UNLESS either Lebron learns how to play off the ball or they acquire a decent bench. The former is more likely, the latter is going to be difficult especially with the impending labor situation. Of course, the labor situation could change the NBA forever and break up any "super team".

Smh, you do realize the irony of your post right?

Anyway no way in hell Dwight goes to Miami. I don't see what the lakers can offer either.

I think he'll be a poor mans Steve Nash.. A flashy creator, but I don't think he'll be as good of a shooter.
