Would be the first major outdoor hockey game in Ohio.

I'm not a big hockey fan but I think this is pretty cool. If I was in town then i'd probably make it down to see it.

Big fan of OSU hockey. I know we aren't that great, but I enjoy watching college hockey. I will be at this game if it happens.

Has the fascination with these outdoor hockey games kinda died down? Or are they as popular as ever?

Just dont get why they would be haha. Who would wanna be at the top of a football stadium to watch a hockey game that they can barely see lol?

I think having outdoor games for indoor sports is becoming quite popular just look at college basketball doing this as well.

Also forgot to add this would be pretty sweet I don't like OSU or UM but I still would be interested in going to this game.

I think it'll be much better at the Jake then at a football stadium

Ehh, I'd rather have a home and home, one at the Shoe, one at the Big House.
But, this is still pretty cool.

Tribe has a press conference today at 2, most likely to confirm this.

The NCAA has ruined the Final Four experience by trying to cram 70,000 people into a football stadium to watch a basketball game.

I think they said on tonight's Indians game that the game will be played Jan 15th and tickets go on sale in November.

I like that the schools are doing this, and Progressive may work out better than having it in the bigger venues like Ohio Stadium or at UM. When the new Big Ten hockey conference gets up and running, perhaps they can have some Big Ten double-headers during day/night or perhaps a 4 team tourney over two days.

ttt... we're a week away from this game, and the talk has been quiet everywhere. Given OSU's ranking, that's a surprise.

Seems expensive for a game. I can drive up the road a mile pay $6 to see a hockey game ( minor league) and drink in the parking lot between periods.

I may be as well. The girlfriend bought tickets with the hopes of reselling (since most of these other outdoor hockey games have sold out and then some), but no one seems to give a shit about this one. If no one buys them, we're going.

Next time you are in Wooster for a weekend, go check out an Oilers game. The best value in sports entertainment

I was one of those people  Absolutely perfect day for hockey...temp hung around 40 all day even though my Spartans got killed. Honestly one of the coolest hockey games I've ever been to. Shockingly you can actually see pretty damn good.

I'd never pay the prices they're asking for the Frozen Diamond Classic...at the Big Chill I paid $15 a seat. They're asking $52 for an infield seat! Come on this is a college hockey regular season game
