Many have seen this formula before. It's based on the following point system: 1 point for each playoff qualification, 2 points for each playoff win, and 3 points for each state title. Following are the top 25 in all-time points. The formatting will likely look bad, but it should read something like this:

Rank School Wins Losses Points

1 Newark Catholic 62 - 22 178
2 Cleveland St. Ignatius 56 - 12 164
3 Youngstown Mooney 49 - 16 142
4 Columbus DeSales 47 - 17 123
5 Steubenville 45 - 19 121
6 Versailles 43 - 10 120
7 Mogadore 43 - 20 118
7 Cincinnati Moeller 34 - 21 117
8 St. Henry 41 - 8 114
9 Ironton 40 - 25 113
10 Delphos St. John's 39 - 7 105
12 Cleveland Benedictine 34 - 10 102
13 Maria Stein Marion Local 37 - 8 98
14 Coldwater 37 - 13 95
15 Canton McKinley 33 - 15 93
15 Columbus Watterson 34 - 19 91
17 Amanda-Clearcreek 33 - 14 88
18 Mentor Lake Catholic 30 - 14 86
19 Germantown Valley View 30 - 13 85
20 Youngstown Ursuline 29 - 12 82
20 Cincinnati St. Xavier 28 - 14 78
22 Kettering Alter 27 - 13 75
23 Marion Pleasant 24 - 15 75
23 Orrville 25 - 19 73
23 Warren JFK 26 - 17 73

I'm assuming this is including the 09 playoffs? Orrville has 20 appearances, so they should have 74 points.

Wondering if it's just us, or did everyone else get shorted a point for an appearance?

Good list though.

I've got:

20 appearances = 20 points
25 wins = 50 points
1 title = 3 points

for 73 points.

Did I miss something?

Nope...that's right. Just didn't know what the "19" was beside our name.

That was total playoff losses.
