I graduated yesterday and now have to look for a big-boy job.

Where are some good places to start looking?

Did you go to your career services office? See if you can get a NACElink Network login. A really good worldwide job board, but you need a login through your school/university. Your login is valid for a year after you graduate if I'm not mistaken.

Also LinkedIn is useful. Monster and Careerbuilder are pretty much garbage, but still ok to browse.

I browsed it a little bit earlier today.

Completion of my degree required me to do an internship, so I interned at a police department.

My resume is set, just need to find jobs somewhere.

Only thing I really have under my belt is 3.5 years of experience in IT. Worked at the help desk throughout college.

Was waiting for the "OMG YOU GOT A USELESS DEGREE" people to chime in. Here's basically what happened:

My intended major was Information Systems.
2 years in, I grew tired of school and nearly quit.
GPA suffered, so I changed my major to something that would get me out of school with something as opposed to nothing.

Just curious..... why didn't you go with something that would help you more in the long run? You never intended on working in criminology?

It was the quickest/easiest route out of school. I hated college. If I could do it again, I wouldn't go.

Ps, not sure if you are interested at all, but I believe quite a few ohio pens have been hiring. Your degree would def help.
