Anybody deal with this before?

Basically, my key got stuck in my G5s ignition yesterday to the point where I couldn't even turn my car off when I was going home from work yesterday. So I drove to the dealership to see what they could do. Their mechanics were gone for the day so they showed my how to turn off the car by pulling a fuse in the engine. While he was checking to see if this was still covered under my warranty he figured out that this fix was covered under the "Customer Satisfaction Program." He explained that this was something that GM knew about but it wasn't a"recall" because it wasn't a safety issue and if it was a recall then all G5s would need to come in and get this fixed and they didn't want to do that.

My problem is, how the hell is this customer satisfaction when then knew about this, failed to notify me about it because it's not a "recall", and now I'm getting screw around with dealing with it when it's a problem. Instead of driving home 10 minutes yesterday I had my car running for 2.5 hrs wasting gas, I had to take this fuse out last night in the pouring rain, now the battery is dead and I'm waiting to get a jump/tow and head to the dealership.

I'm pissed off. "Customer Satisfaction Program" my ass.

And I know...

Cool story bro

The jump sort of worked. It started up but the engine was bucking real bad so I shut it off. It seemed like it just didn't have enough juice to keep going so AAA towed it for me.

Got everything fixed for free, the dealership covered the towing charges, and washed my car. I'll be calling GM on Monday.

The dealership was understanding and agreed with me that it's messed up. Their service manager is calling them Monday morning first so he can explain the issues then I'll be following up after.

I had a 95 s-10 that my grandpa gave me when I turned 16. I drove it for 10 years and the only thing I ever had to do was get new tires and replace the thermostat once.

That truck was awesome, never had any problems.

They should give you a gas card, too.

That's what I'm calling for on Monday, and some free oil changes. I didn't expect the dealership to give me anything but fix the car, but they are paying for the tow. I figured everything would have to go through corporate.
