I really don't understand how this law could get anywhere close to being passed. I mean, it's so damn vague and even if it wasn't vague it is simply not what anyone should want to do.

LEGAL ramifications for something like this are blatantly unconstitutional, and restrictive of basic First Ammendment rights. It's one thing if Facebook or Twitter would prohibit such images in their Terms (which is their right as a private enterprise), an example of which would be Photobucket. However, trying to place legal and criminal ramifications on doing such is absurdly infringing on the rights of American citizens.

I find it really depressing that things like this, all the crappy parts of the PATRIOT ACT, PROTECT IP act, ACTA, etc, etc get barely any coverage in the news ("liberal" MSM, Fox, or otherwise) and can barely generate a discussion on politics boards all the while things like Wiener's wiener gets talked about for weeks on end by both parties and people bitch about games of golf played by Obama and Boehner and shit like that.
