I do agree with the sponsor program. I'd really like to put something together to where businesses or individuals could sponsor particular forums or whatever.
Also, I did get big donations from Lotz and O-Trap tonight.

I think you should do something annoying like make everyone who visits the site have to go through the donation page once like you did the rules

We get about 700,000 pageviews a month right now. More during the fall, winter, spring.
I think those prices are a bit high but are a decent baseline to go from.

any idea if google actually follows through with this stuff? And what are their sticking points?....it cant be the language can it?

I was thinking something like $25-50 to sponsor a forum for a month with discounts if you sponsored 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months at a time.
And do like $150-200 a month for the main site sponsor.
Not sure how those numbers line up. Don't want to under-sell but don't want to rip people off either.

Does it scan posts, or thread titles, i wonder? If it is posts, I guarantee the massive homophobic slur that is the basement was a definite killer. (one of the things in their terms that was posted mentioned language offensive to groups)

I know it starts with a rotating ad banner only and to be able to sell stuff is 150 per year. It goes up from there to sponsor forums and to have your own forum

I've added f*g, f*gg*t, n*gg*r, c*nt, and q*e*r to the filter so that should help cut the slurs out. No one uses the n-word but f*g gets thrown around way too much. Is it possible to appeal the Google e-mail? Or try to talk with an agent about it directly? I don't know if that will get you anywhere, but it could be worth a shot.
