I am leaving with Stephen A Smith(OC member/son) in 10 days for Florida. We are doing the usual tourist stuff like Universal Studios, Sea World and Kennedy Space Center. I am debating catching one of those Dinner/Comedy/action adventure shows. Has anyone ever been to one in Orlando or anywhere else for that matter? Opinions? They are kind of pricey so I don't want to waste the money if it is a lame, bad idea.

Saw "Little Shop of Horrors" several years back. Good time, food was very good too.

I went with my wife and daughter to the Dixie Stampede and we had a good time. (I just looked online and I think the Orlando Dixie Stampede is closed) I also went with my wife to Arabian nights and it was pretty good. They are a little expensive, but we like horses and it's pretty fun to watch. If you're not into that you may not like it. (I don't know if that really helps other than we had a good time, so I guess +1 from us.)

Well, my kid is 15, so I was thinking of Pirates or Medieval Times. I did see that there was an Arabian Nights one that looked good though.

Just ask Stephen A if he wants to babysit you at a show since we all know you will get hammered and won't even pay attention.

He should have waited another year until the kid had his license so he had a designated driver. :D

Dinner / Show can be a mix bag

The wife and I go to a few every year locally and sometimes when we travel.

The bottom line is simple you have four chances for something good/bad ... Bad show good dinner ... Good show bad dinner or both bad or both good... IMO the percentage is 60% something will be good about the evening at a dinner and a show.....
