And im talking basketball, not slowpitch softball or something.

Ive played in a summer league put on by my high school the past few years but this is the last summer i plan on being home and will more than likely be living in Columbus next summer. Looking to see if any of you have played or heard of some pretty decent summer leagues. Im not neccesarily talking about talent. Im looking for a league that plays actual basketball, not 1 on 1 streetball with inconsistent refereeing or something.

Not 100% sure on summer leagues, but I do think they have them at Berliner just off of 71.

Columbus Parks and Recreation hosts leagues, one of which is at Berliner. If you find the right now it is fairly competitive (guys with college experience). However the new leagues started this week and run for 7 weeks I believe.

Other than that there are decent games at the outdoor courts on Lane but they can get chippy.

Meh games outside at lane arent bad, people just get intimidated when someone talks shit to them while playing.

The Mcdonalds complex down in columbus also has summer leagues if i remember correctly. Maybe theirs are just fall and winter though

The Upper Arlington league(formerly Worthington league) is the best basketball you will find in columbus, a TON of talent.

Isn't that the league that Jimmy Jackson ran? I think that might be a little advanced for someone looking to play rec league basketball.

Hb...McDonald's Complex at the corner of Bethel and Olentangy? I'm not sure if they have summer leagues there. Played softball there at the fields behind there but thought they only had winter basketball leagues.

I'm not sure if Jimmy ran it or not but it's the Mcdonalds league, the league the current Buckeyes use to be allowed to play in until Thad put an end to that. Still you get a lot of guys who play overseas, a few who play/played in the NBA, D1, D2 and some D3 players. I played in it for two years and the competition level is extremely high but fun. Maybe not for someone who is looking for some casual rec ball like you said.

Wasn't trying to take a shot at your skills Pick, just saying that league had some NBA guys playing in it and a lot of big time college players.
