Been able to consistently hit on these games, but game 5's got me stumped right now. Bruins looked like a different team once they got back to Boston but can they take their show on the road? Tough to bet against em right now...
I like Horton but that incident may have been the best thing to happen to the B's. Seems to have lit a fire.
A lot of people complaining about the chippy and dirty play in this series, but honestly I love it. IMO it's great to watch two teams who have come to absolutely HATE one another fight it out for the Cup. Makes for some good tv. I've come to like the Bruins team tho they are seemingly a bunch of big dumb jocks. Somethng about their style intrigues me.
This is quickly becoming a huge rivalry that may last well beyond this series. If only these two teams saw each other more times during the season this rivalry could be up there w some of the best.
I totally agree. I also really liked bobby orr coming out waving Hortons number on a giant flag, that was a sweet moment. The bruins have been much more physical the last two games and I think if they do the same thing in Vancouver they'll get another win. I wouldn't be surprised if they sat Loungo for game 5, he's been terrible in Boston.
Also, the bruins maybe gooning it up a bit, but vancouver acts like a bunch of soccer sissies. Going down at the slightest bit of contact. The sedins constantly cover their face as if they took a stick to the mouth and Crosby Show posted a video earlier of a Sedin taking a dive from a small push during a scrum. They're a bunch of instigators, but when the gloves come off they turtle (i.e. Erhoff and Burrows).
If boston plays like this the rest of the series i think they'll take it in 6. I think they only way vancouver gets back in this series is to bench luongo. Bruins D has done an awesome job of shutting down the twins and i doubt that'll stop any time soon.
