I want to congratulate the young men that were fortunate enough to be named to one of the first three teams in the AP All-Ohio voting. You probably don't know how luck you are. The Associated Press chose a total of 328 players for either 1st, 2nd or 3rd team in Div. III, IV, V & VI. Only 23 of those were from southeastern or south central Ohio which includes 17 counties. And of those 13, only 19 were position players. And, four were from one school, Amanda Clearcreek! I am the first to admit that football down Cincinnati way, over in the Dayton area and from Columbus north toward Toledo and Cleveland have many outstanding athletes and football programs. However, only 7 percent of players chosen from our area is more than ridiculous. It's more than a joke...it's borderline scandelous, IMO.

Number of counties doesn't matter at all, you'd have to look at number of schools per division and how they stack up versus the state as a whole. The % of players that got awards from that area, only matter in relation to the % of players that are from that area and what they did.

Less than 7% of Ohio's population lives in that part of the state, so IMO the numbers don't really show a geographical discrimination by the AP. In NE Ohio you got Cleveland & Akron, NW you got Toledo, Central you got Columbus, SW you got Cincinnati & Dayton, SE has what, Marietta? There aren't a lot of places for large communities to develop in the Allegheny Plateaus. Don't blame the AP for the low number of All Ohioans, blame glaciers and continental drift.

My team was represented in the All-Ohio..so I'm not complaining at all. Lol..I'm just saying..SE Ohio for the most part receives no attention, credibility, or even acknowledged by most of the media.

GoChiefs....as a Sylvania Southview fan I have always said the same thing about NW Ohio. Especially from the writers in the other huddle site.GoChiefs wrote: My team was represented in the All-Ohio..so I'm not complaining at all.
